Beyonce releases video from her big day!

It seems that four out of five Hollywood brides commission Vera Wang to design their bespoke wedding gown — unless, of course, the star’s parent happens to be a talented fashion designer.

Such was the case for Beyonce Knowles‘ April 4, 2008 wedding to Jay-Z, where she donned a gorgeous gown designed by mom Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s stylist, Ty Hunter, confirms toUS Weekly.

 

In the just-released video from her big day, Beyonce (now expecting her first child with her man), is shown in a dramatic white strapless gown with ruched detail, a fitted bodice and a sprawling train.

During Bey’s days of Destiny’s Child, Tina, 57, would design the girls’ costumes and continued to do so while her daughter kicked off her solo career. In addition, Tina also has her own brand with Beyonce, House of Dereon, named after her mother, which showed at London Fashion Week this September.

Beyonce, 30, isn’t the only Hollywood bride who added a special touch to her nuptials with a custom-made design from a parent: Dylan Lauren (of Dylan’s Candy Bar fame) wore a beautiful wedding dress by dad, Ralph Lauren, when she tied the knot in June.
