The fashion trends for 2012 are filled with bursts of vibrant colors and patterns. Makeup echoes the look of the 60’s, totally retro.

The first day of winter was Thursday, temperatures are dropping and your footwear of choice is … Ugg Boots.

So what better way to warm the soul (besides hot chocolate) then daydreaming about all the amazing fashion trends you can look forward to as soon as Spring rolls back around?

The Spring/Summer 2012 fashion shows were filled with tons of color (“Tangerine Tango” was named color of the season), vibrant floral prints, tribal-inspired accessories, ladylike handbags and plenty of metallic moments.

And when it comes to beauty, think bold and beautiful. We loved all the retro hairstyles, cat’s-eye makeup and colorful lips.

Thankfully some of our favorite Fall and Winter trends — colorblocking, pleats and lace — made the Spring hit list and will transition perfectly into the warmer months.

With that said, here’s a look at some of the most exciting (and wearable) trends we think should be on everyone’s shopping list next season.
