Who doesn’t benefit from having a little work done? Gucci introduced its original Bamboo style in 1947. For 2010, creative director Frida Giannini decided to give the purse a bit of a facelift. The new version is bigger, has a detachable double strap (one leather, one chain) and comes in sumptuous cobalt crocodile skin, among other refinements. What hasn’t changed—it’s assembled by hand and takes 13 hours to make from start to finish.
