Okay. I had a very difficult time viewing some of these red carpet pics of the BET 2009 Awards Show. I know that every style of music attracts a unique blend of fashion trends and personal style that you may not see reflected at the Oscar’s or The Golden Globes. But come on folks, this is pretty horrendous. There are so many things wrong with some of the clothing choices some of these “artists” made that instead of telling you who looked the worst, I will tell you first who looked the best, and trust me, it’s a very short list.

The Best Dressed  At The 2009 BET Awards Show

 #1 – Kayne West and Amber Rose- Hip-Hop’s Fashion Dynamic Duo
Say what you want about his childish vanity, Kayne rarely disappoints when it comes to fashion, and that hot bald chick he’s seen with all the time , Amber Rose, compliments his style almost perfectly. I like how she wears her clothes, or maybe it’s that she just seems to know how to pose her body? Amber clearly is the most sexy, and fashion savvy of all the women (including Beyonce) on the BET red carpet. She took bold moves like , square rimmed shades, hot pink heels, super mini-dress, and hot pink lips  to go with that very low, near bald bleached blonde hair that only a handful of women can get away with.Kayne is  looking well put together, casual, and stylish as usual. A very HOT couple, at least fashion wise.

 

 #2 -Adrienne Bailon- Pin-Up Perfect-
Looking very stylish, feminine, and fresh. Great color choice!  From her hair down to her sweet looking shoes Andrienne knocks this one out of the park.

 

#3 -Beyonce -Sequenced Jewel?
Although at first glance Beyonce’s dress and shoes looks like a sequenced jungle themed purple mess, but as I began to view more photos from different angles (especially those unique colorful shoes that match her dress perfectly!) I realized that it took alot of courage to wear that noisy dress and shoes and make it look kinda hot.  I still wouldn’t say this is her best red carpet looks, but it works..for now..

 #4  P. Diddy – Casual Chic
Not my favorite person in the world, but by far one of the most stylish male celebrities around. Puff has always kept his fashion sense in perfect lockstep with the trends and styles of the day, and manges to pull off a stylish, more mature, look almost every time he steps out the door. When I say mature, I mean considering that he is in hip-hop where artists wear things like sneakers and jeans as a basic uniform , P.Diddy’s tailored suits, and manicured look is an inspiration for all men who actually care about how they look. Look at those killer shades! Love em!

 

#5  Alicia Keys – The Enchantress
Wow, every time I see Alicia nowadays she is looking more sexy, more stylish, more comfortable in her new super feminine wardrobe that she has taken on over the past year or 2. I have no idea who this dress is by, but it’s simply beautiful..the color, the beading, the texture looks delightful. Alicia looks  proud to show off her very thick thighs is this daring mini-dress. Hair looks great, makeup beautiful, besides that giant zit on the bridge of her nose, I’d she she rocked it. Go  girl!

The Worst Dressed At The BET Award Show 2009

There was a lot of  “I want to look unique”  moments in the clothing choices for this red carpet showdown. The problem with this is that almost everyone who tried not to look  too typical ended up looking ridiculous and others just plain silly. The fashion mistakes reached a fever pitch with repeat offender Lil ” I need free press so I dress like a clown” Mama, Cassie’s unflattering shaved head/80’s groupie girl look, or the usually stylish Zoe Saladana who’s legs looked skinny and chicken like, and dress looked like a wrinkled rag on her lean frame.

Cassie?? Is that you or a drag queen? Really bad idea sweetie, starting from the head down. Poor thing...

Actresses Zoe Saldana- Nichelle Nichols, is it me or does Nichelle look sexier than Zoe in this pic?

 

Amerie just looks out of place, the face isn't looking very delicate either.

 

 

Ciara looks like she is very uncomfortable and is posing awkwardly. Can she breathe in that dress? She has a great body, just wish she would relax.

 

 

Football player Doug Christie poses with family. the woman on the right is downright hawking some book on the BET red carpet!! Wow, now that is tacky!

Keri Hilson has made a huge fashion flop here. It's just not working honey.

 

  

Lil Mama working her "Please give me free press" swagger. I give her points for walking out the door looking so moronic, especially for the sake of publicity.

Day 26..WTF? Who?

Former Destiny's Child bandmate Letoya Luckett is so beautiful and has fit toned body that looks spectacular, but the dress, is total trash. She is to sweet looking to pull this one off. Rihanna or Lady Gaga could easily own this.

Melody Thornton totally missed the mark.

Monica channels her inner Liza. I'm not sure what this is,,but it may work better in Paris. The hair is a mess. Monica has never seemed to have much fashion sense.

Wyclef looked sloppy and tired
